This rescue gets very angry when another rescue intercepts their target dog
From time to time, other well meaning rescues have gotten a dog that Rosa was working hard for pledges. For Rosa Fond, founder of Humans and Animals United, this is an occupational hazard. The reason being that Rosa typically does not place a hold on a dog with the shelter until the very last minute in order to encourage more pledges/donations. After all, if people knew the dog was safe and not going to be killed as Rosa always spins her posts, they wouldn’t donate or pledge. This level of deception sometimes backfires on Rosa and when it does, she becomes enraged. All that money she worked hard for is going to go down the drain if someone else comes in and rescues the dog first! This has happened many times and has been documented by quite a few people.
The following exchange is between Rosa Fond and a well respected Director/Founder of a Rottweiller Rescue. We’ll refer to him as “Joe”. Backstory – Joe happened upon a post for a Rottweiller that needed a rescue. Not knowing that he stumbled upon one of Rosa’s fake “networking” pages, Joe made a comment that he could get the dog into safety and in five minutes he had a plan of action in place to help the dog. Next thing you know, Rosa is threatening to “send men” to his door, among other not so veiled threats.
Joe simply didn’t know that Rosa had been hard at work promoting the dog on her many fake pages and had amassed heavy pledges and donations – getting in the way of her money is a cardinal sin as he soon found out. This exchange is almost comical, however, deeply alarming when you realize it all boils down to how much money Rosa Fond can make, and NOT the safety and wellbeing of the dog.
No one can bully someone to the degree that Rosa Fond can while simultaneousy accusing the person she is bullying of bullying her. In the above exchange, Rosa threatened to have “men” show up at Joe’s home and to “make a video” to bash him across social media – all because he wanted to rescue a dog in need, not knowing this dog had been earmarked by Rosa Fond and her rescue Humans and Animals United for the purpose of soliciting heavy pledges and donations. WOW. Just wow.
